The Cartesy automobile engine dynamometer is designed to measure the effective power of vehicle engines and evaluate the efficiency of transmission machinery. As an advanced loading power testing solution, this engine test bench finds extensive applications across research, quality inspection, manufacturing, maintenance, and service industries.
The CARTESY engine dynamometer system comprises:
| Model Specification | CTFDZ-1000 |
| Rated Absorbing Power | 1000 HP |
| Torque Measurement Accuracy | ±0.2% FS |
| Rated Torque | 3200 N·m |
| Rotational Speed Accuracy | ±1 r/min |
The eddy current unit consists of stator, rotor, electromagnetic coils, and electromagnets on both sides. It operates based on electromagnetic principles where eddy currents are generated when a moving magnetic conductor cuts magnetic lines of force, creating resistance torque.
When electric current flows through the electromagnets, a magnetic field is generated. Simultaneously, strong eddy currents are produced on the rotating rotor, converting electrical energy into thermal energy. This heat is dissipated into the air by the rotor cooling fan, creating friction-free resistance between the stator and rotor.
Where:
N – Load, Unit: Newton (N)
n – Rotational speed, Unit: r/min
Where:
N – Load, Unit: Newton (N)
L – Calculated arm length, fixed at 0.95493 meters
Note: For quick and convenient brake power calculation using dynamometer force measurement readings, a weight arm length of 0.9738 meters or its simple multiple is adopted. During static calibration, 1kg weight corresponds to 10N display value or its multiple, confirming the calculated arm length as 0.95493 meters.
